Sony Cybershot DSC-W80

Designed to make photo-viewing crystal clear, Sony announced the DSC W80 digital camera featuring a high-definition component output. This new Cyber-shot W-series camera offers direct connection to an HDTV, which is ideal for integrating full 1080 HD photo-viewing into a home theater. The Cybershot DSC-W80 is a 7.2-megapixel digital camera, and features a Carl Zeiss optical zoom lens; traditional, eye-level viewfinder; and a large, 2.5-inch LCD screen wrapped in a sleek metal body. The Sony Cybershot DSC-W80 camera will be hit stores in March for about $250 in pink, white, black and silver. The Sony DSC-W80HDPR kit will be available for about $400 in April. Pre-orders begin on Feb. 28.

Responding to the growing demand for super zoom digital cameras, Sony is introducing its new 8 megapixel Sony CyberShot DSC-H7 digital camera. Designed to appeal to families with budding athletes in their broods, the camera debuts Sony’s new advanced sports shooting mode. This mode combines high shutter speed shooting and intelligent continuous auto-focusing. The DSC H7 camera can quickly focus on fast-moving subjects by predicting where those subjects will be in the frame. This predictive technology also helps to reduce shutter lag, the time it takes for the camera to focus and shoot. The Sony DSC-H7 features a powerful Carl Zeiss 15x optical zoom lens for up-close shots of big plays on the field.

Sony Cybershot S700

The Sony S700 camera will house a 2.4-inch LCD wrapped in a metal body. The Sony Cyber-shot S700 features 3x optical zoom capability, blur-reduction technologies (ISO), and substantial internal memory for shooting without a media card. The S700 ships in March for about $180. Options will include batteries, travel chargers, lenses, filters, sports packs, and cases. PMA 2009 - The digital SLR camera market is booming. Compared to last year the DSLR camera sales increased with impressive numbers and it seems the digital SLR camera has become a mass consumer product. New entry level D-SLR cameras with 6 Megapixels surprisingly were welcomed very well by the amateur photographer and it seems that within this segment of the digital camera market the resolution range of 6 - 10 Megapixel fulfils the need of the amateur photographer.
