Samsung’s pioneering steps within the connected camera market can be seen in the Samsung SH100’s unique innovation, which allows you to connect wirelessly to your other devices. You can use Wi-Fi to connect to your Android powered Galaxy S smartphone. You can view the shot you’re about to take in real time on your phone. If you’re not happy with it, you can zoom in and out to get the best picture, and then activate the shutter remotely when you’re ready to pose. This innovation means that the days of running between your camera and your subject, trying to line up the perfect group shot, are over.

Report PMA 2010 - Samsung announced the launch of the new Samsung WB700, the ultra-slim digital camera with an impressive 24X zoom function, capable of delivering superb quality pictures whether your subject is near or far. The new Samsung digital camera features a 24mm ultra-wide Schneider KREUZNACH lens to capture the perfect wide shot, as well as an outstanding 24X zoom function, made up of an 18X optical zoom and 1.3X Smart Zoom. The new Samsung WB700 digital camera delivers sharp images with incredible detail, thanks to the camera’s 16 Megapixel (MP) CCD sensor.

Samsung NX11

Report PMA 2010 - Samsung announced the launch of the Samsung NX11 - the latest addition to the highly successful NX family of digital cameras. The new Samsung NX11 digital camera contains a feature set similar to Samsung’s first mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, the NX10, however the Samsung NX11 is also compatible with the new i-Function lens that was introduced for the Samsung NX100. The Samsung NX11 camera will come complete with an 18-55mm i-Function lens, as well as two new i-Function lenses, a 20mm pancake and a 20-50mm zoom silver color lens. The launch of this new Samsung camera reinforces the company’s commitment to leading innovation in the compact system camera market.

PMA 2010 - Samsung adds a new 12 megapixel camera to its extensive digital camera line-up for 2010 - the waterproof Samsung WP10 (also known as Samsung AQ100 in the United States). Thanks to its elements-focused design, the Samsung WP10 underwater camera grants peace of mind and allows users to focus on taking the perfect shot, rather than worrying about damage to the camera from water. A powerful camera on land or in water, the Samsung WP10 boasts an ample, 5x optical inner-zoom lens complete with Digital Image Stabilisation to help reduce blurry images. The new flagship of the company’s compact digital camera family, the Samsung EX1 incorporates a range of advanced features, including a high-performance imaging sensor and one of the most impressive lenses ever found on a compact camera - a 24mm ultra-wide angle Schneider Kreuznach, f/1.8. The high-end Schneider lens offers a 24mm, ultra-wide focal length and 3x optical zoom. Samsung WB2000

PMA Show news - Samsung unveils the WB2000 (also known as Samsung TL350 in the United States) - a high-speed, 10 mega-pixel CMOS sensor compact camera with 1080P, full-HD video recording. With a maximum video recording speed of 1,000 frames-per-second (fps) and a burst mode capable of capturing 10 full-size digital stills per second, the Samsung WB2000 takes high-speed imaging to a new level for today’s consumer. Additionally, the Samsung WB2000 enhances the digital imaging experience with Samsung’s Advanced Panorama Shot with Object Tracking as well as an innovative Dual Capture mode, which allows users to simultaneously take 10 mega-pixel still images while recording full-HD videos.

The PMA show, or Photo Marketing Association, continues its yearly tradition of maintaining a network of photo imaging as well as the experience and know-how of the industry. The PMA represents 20,000 members from over 100 countries, who are all active within the imaging industry. As a reflection of the changes in the market, the PMA organization has also changed and has become more diverse. Nowadays, the member group consists of representatives coming from photo retail, manufacturers, commercial photo labs, professional sports and news photography, in addition to small album print suppliers and photo processing centers. The PMA 2012 Trade show focuses on an industry which is heavily affected by the unstable situation of the global financial economy. However, whether the latter will also stand in the way of the innovation and product introductions, remains to be revealed by the PMA International Convention & Trade Show in Anaheim Convention Center (California, US).
