Panasonic introduces the new 12.1 megapixel Panasonic DMC-FS15 camera of 29mm wide angle Leica DC lens with 5x optical zoom (equivalent to 29mm to 145 mm on a 35mm film camera) as a member of Lumix new FS series. The new FS series, a sister line of the world-acclaimed FX series, pursues easy and simple operation with its high-grade profile for users at every stage to enjoy taking beautiful pictures. Panasonic's iA (intelligent auto) mode, which makes it easy for anyone to take beautiful photos by detecting the scene and optimizing the settings, has been further enhanced for new Panasonic LUMIX FS15 to comprehend AF tracking and Intelligent Exposure functions.

Panasonic Lumix LS85

Panasonic introduces the 8.1 megapixel Panasonic DMC-LS85 camera that runs on AA batteries featuring ultimate ease of use with iA(Intelligent Auto) mode as a successor to the LS80. Apart from AA battery operation cameras, Panasonic LUMIX LS85 boasts powerful 4x optical zoom and bright F2.8 high quality LUMIX DC VARIO lens (equivalent to 33mm to 132 mm on a 35mm film camera). The iA mode, which comprises various shooting-assist functions, has been newly incorporated in the Panasonic LS85. This mode comprises of four major functions, Mega O.I.S., Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector and Face Detection. Mega O.I.S. suppresses hand-shake and Intelligent ISO Control prevents motion blur.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX48

Panasonic is pleased to introduce a new Lumix digital camera, the 9.1-megapixel DMC-TZ5, featuring a 28mm wide-angle 10x optical zoom Leica DC lens in a compact body. The 28mm wide angle lens captures the subject and the scene wider at the same standpoint than normal 35mm camera does and you can zoom in or out to magnify a distant subject when desired with the 10x powerful optical zoom. The Lumix DMC-TZ5 is the latest member of the Lumix TZ family and integrates the capability of recording 720p HD motion pictures together with its direct output function allowing users to enjoy watching both still and motion pictures in impressive HD quality on a large-screen HDTV via an optional component cable.

The PMA show, or Photo Marketing Association, continues its yearly tradition of maintaining a network of photo imaging as well as the experience and know-how of the industry. The PMA represents 20,000 members from over 100 countries, who are all active within the imaging industry. As a reflection of the changes in the market, the PMA organization has also changed and has become more diverse. Nowadays, the member group consists of representatives coming from photo retail, manufacturers, commercial photo labs, professional sports and news photography, in addition to small album print suppliers and photo processing centers. The PMA 2010 Trade show focuses on an industry which is heavily affected by the unstable situation of the global financial economy. However, whether the latter will also stand in the way of the innovation and product introductions, remains to be revealed by the 2010 PMA International Convention & Trade Show in Anaheim Convention Center (California, US).
