Nikon Europe is proud to announce the new Nikon Coolpix P90 digital camera. Automatically detecting as many as 12 faces in the shot, Face-priority AF helps produce satisfying portraits by adjusting focus and exposure. Smile Timer helps to faithfully record precious moments by automatically releasing the shutter when the subject smiles. The new Blink Proof function on the Nikon Coolpix P90 automatically shoots two sequential frames and saves the shot in which the subject’s eyes are open-wide. And, the Nikon P90 offers advanced red-eye reduction capability and In-Camera Red-Eye Fix automatically corrects any perceived red-eye effect before saving the image to memory.

Nikon Coolpix S620

Nikon Europe is proud to announce the new Nikon Coolpix S620 digital camera. Nikon's optical lens shift VR image stabilization compensates for the effects of camera shake. Motion Detection automatically controls shutter speed and the ISO setting to compensate for subject movement as well as camera shake. The Nikon S620 features high ISO 6400 capability at any image size up to a maximum of 4000 x 3000 pixels allowing faster shutter speeds when shooting in low light or capturing fast-moving subjects. And, Nikon’s original BSS (Best Shot Selector) function automatically shoots a series of sequential frames and saves the one with the sharpest focus.

The PMA show, or Photo Marketing Association, continues its yearly tradition of maintaining a network of photo imaging as well as the experience and know-how of the industry. The PMA represents 20,000 members from over 100 countries, who are all active within the imaging industry. As a reflection of the changes in the market, the PMA organization has also changed and has become more diverse. Nowadays, the member group consists of representatives coming from photo retail, manufacturers, commercial photo labs, professional sports and news photography, in addition to small album print suppliers and photo processing centers. The PMA 2010 Trade show focuses on an industry which is heavily affected by the unstable situation of the global financial economy. However, whether the latter will also stand in the way of the innovation and product introductions, remains to be revealed by the 2010 PMA International Convention & Trade Show in Anaheim Convention Center (California, US).
