HTC Magic Android smartphone

Vodafone and HTC Corporation announced the HTC Magic smartphone, Vodafone’s first Android-powered mobile, which will be available in the spring. The stylish new handset is exclusive to Vodafone in the UK, Spain, Germany and France (SFR) and available on a non-exclusive basis in Italy. Customers can ensure that they are the first to receive information about the HTC Magic’s availability, pricing and pre-ordering by registering their interest via their local Vodafone website. The introduction of the HTC Magic is the result of a successful relationship between Vodafone and HTC, and Vodafone’s joining, late last year, of the Open Handset Alliance.

Nokia N86 8MP

When Nokia set out to make the best mobile imaging device, it combined wide-angle Carl Zeiss optics and an 8 megapixel sensor, resulting in performance comparable to a stand alone digital camera. The Nokia N86 8MP mobile camera phone is designed to excel in both bright and low light conditions, and it's optimized for both video and still imaging. Its high-speed connectivity ensures easy and convenient sharing. The Nokia N86 8MP multimedia handset is expected to begin shipping in the second quarter of 2009 with an estimated retail price of EUR 375, before taxes.

iPhone review

The British company Continental Mobiles has been selling exclusive cell phones and iPods online since September 2006. Gold versions of various mobile phone brands and models are being sold. In addition, Continental Mobiles offer various mobile phones with embedded diamonds. LG Viewty camera phone

LG announced the direct availability of the 5 Megapixel LG Viewty camera phone for European consumers. This availability announcement comes almost at the same time as the shipping of the 5 Megapixel Samsung G800 camera phone. Two brand new mobile phones that appear to take a part of the entry level digital camera market. The LG Viewty is the direct competitor of the Samsung G800, both camera phones are loaded with high-tech features never seen before on a cell phone.

Both the traditional photographer and the camera trade, have always turned up their nose at the camera-phone. The PMA 2011 emphasizes mainly the traditional photography, albeit in a digital way. In terms of image quality, the photographer is right, while the camera cell phone is nowhere near able to come up with the same high quality that puts digital photography ahead of mobile imaging. However, when we consider the possibility of sharing, and the fact that a mobile phone is always at hand, we should not underestimate the impact of mobile imaging. Mobile photography is continuously subject to innovation, and the speed at which these technological advances take place, is at least impressive. Perhaps the PMA 2011 will adopt mobile imaging as a permanent phenomenon?
