Both the traditional photographer and the camera trade, have always turned up their nose at the camera-phone. The PMA 2011 emphasizes mainly the traditional photography, albeit in a digital way. In terms of image quality, the photographer is right, while the camera cell phone is nowhere near able to come up with the same high quality that puts digital photography ahead of mobile imaging. However, when we consider the possibility of sharing, and the fact that a mobile phone is always at hand, we should not underestimate the impact of mobile imaging.
