PMA 2010 Report
Manfrotto, will be featuring its 501HDV Video Head at this year’s PMA. Designed to meet the needs of HDV shooters, the 501HDV features a powerful new feature that takes its inspiration from Manfrotto’s top professional head models - a fixed counterbalance spring - which helps ensure both smoother tilt movements and greater equipment safety, even when the tilt locks are inadvertently left off. An easy-access on/off switch allows the counterbalance system to be engaged or disengaged for different filming needs and for quick panning and tilting. The 501HDV offers an updated design, which has been created for improved ergonomics with locks and knobs that allow for a more solid grip.
Manfrotto takes great pride in bringing new products to market that make the lives of professional and amateur shooters as easy as possible. With a dedicated team of engineers that share a passion for photography, shooters can rest assured that they can turn to Manfrotto for a complete array of solutions that are specifically designed to give them the ability to get the results they’re looking for. At this year’s PMA in Las Vegas, Manfrotto will again demonstrate its commitment to product improvement, as it will be showcasing three new tripods that join its popular 190 series - the 190XDB, 190XB and the 190XPROB. Throughout the design process, attention to detail and functionality are job one at Manfrotto.
Manfrotto’s award-winning 560B fluid monopod revolutionized the landscape of support solutions for the photo and video industries. Highly praised by professional and amateurs alike for its stable, fluid design, the 560B provides smooth panning and image capture in any environment. Improving on the popular 560B, Manfrotto is proud to launch its bigger sibling, the 561B. The 561B is higher, sturdier and more robust, making it ideal for Mini DV, HDV and photo applications; however, it boasts many of the same features as the 560B, including a fluid cartridge and three pivoting, retractable feet for the ultimate in jump free panning. Both the 560B and 561B will be on display at PMA 2007.
If you’re headed to PMA 2007, Manfrotto invites you to swing by the Bogen Imaging booth, as it will be featuring the 804RC2, one of its new revolutionary three-way heads. Dedicated to perfection, Manfrotto challenged its team of engineers to improve the company’s already best selling head, the 3030, even more. The result; a head that incorporates new features and materials never before seen in the three way head market and that’s sure to far exceed the needs of professional photographers. In designing the 804RC2, Manfrotto’s engineers were also able to develop a new high performance polymer, known as Adapto - a special technical polymer that’s comparable to aluminum in strength but 50% lighter.
Manfrotto’s 808RC4 is the ideal head for photographers who pack on the pounds when it comes to photo gear, the 808RC4 is a heavy-duty three-way head that can support payloads over 17 pounds. A unique combination of features and an innovative design commonly found in professional video heads adds to the 808RC4’s appeal and will surely guarantee it a spot on photographers’ wish lists worldwide. The 808RC4 will be featured at PMA in Las Vegas. Perhaps the most unique feature of 808RC4 is its Double Axis Spring System. An innovative solution borrowed from the video industry, the Double Axis Spring System consists of a built-in 3.30 pound spring for both the front tilt and side tilt movements.
