A new entry level EasyShare camera from Kodak slipped through our news gate. Expect this baby to be available in August for a selling price of $ 199.95. The new Kodak C180 camera incorporates a 10 Megapixel image sensor and a Kodak AF 3x optical aspheric zoom lens (35 mm equivalent: 32-96 mm). This combination will capture crisp details and gets you closer to your subjects without losing picture quality; 5x digital zoom enlarges your pictures even more. According to Kodak more megapixels means you can crop and still get a great picture. 10.2 MP for stunning prints up to 30 × 40 in. (76 × 102 cm). We may see the Kodak EasyShare C180 showcased at the upcoming PMA 2009 (March 3-5, 2009).

Kodak announced new products this time with smart digital technology that encourages consumers to explore their creativity without compromising on image or print quality. At the Photo Marketing Association Show 2008 (PMA), Eastman Kodak Company announced the latest addition to its award-winning line of Kodak EasyShare Consumer Digital Cameras. The Kodak EasyShare Z1012 IS Digital Camera - with 10-megapixel resolution and 12X optical zoom with optical image stabilization - brings an advanced, high performance feature set to a compact size that is ready to go anywhere your life takes you. Kodak also recently announced the Kodak EasyShare V1273 and Kodak M1033 Digital Camera, the Kodak EasyShare Z1085 IS Digital Camera, the Kodak EasyShare Z1285 Zoom and the Kodak EasyShare Z8612 IS Zoom Digital Cameras at the Consumer Electronics show (CES 2008) in Las vegas.

Kodak Photo Contest

Kodak launched the “Pricey Ink - You’re Fired!” Photo Contest. The contest, powered by Brickfish and inspired by Kodak’s appearance on The Celebrity Apprentice, invites people to submit a photo or video of their favorite “Knockout Kodak Moment” (a treasured personal memory). “With our relationship with Apprentice, NASCAR, and now Brickfish, we are encouraging consumers to experience Kodak’s inkjet value proposition first hand,” said Jeff Hayzlett, chief business development officer and vice president of Kodak. “The show and online contest allows us to reach current and potential customers with the ‘no compromise’ message - encouraging consumers to take a stand against high priced ink.”

Kodak EasyShare V1273 digital camera

Kodak used the CES 2008 show in Las Vegas to announce nine digital compact camera introductions. Unfortunately Kodak did not put a lot effort in providing full specifications or a decent press release, but for now we can give you the following information. The Kodak V1273 is a combination of 12 Megapixels and a 3x zoom lens with optical image stabilization. According to Kodak the camera incorporates an all-glass Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon lens which delivers high quality sharpness and remarkable precision. The optical image stabilization automatically minimizes camera shake to deliver sharper pictures. The Kodak EasyShare V1273 is available in February at $279.95.

The Kodak EasyShare Z1085 IS camera offers 10.0 Megapixels and a 5x optical zoom lens. According to Kodak the camera incorporates a professional quality Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon lens which delivers high quality sharpness and remarkable precision. More pixels mean you can crop and enlarge, and still have great image quality images. The 35-175 mm optical lens is an average fast one with f/2.8-f/5.1 aperture. 5x digital zoom allows you to get even closer. The PMA show, or Photo Marketing Association, continues its yearly tradition of maintaining a network of photo imaging as well as the experience and know-how of the industry. The PMA represents 20,000 members from over 100 countries, who are all active within the imaging industry. As a reflection of the changes in the market, the PMA organization has also changed and has become more diverse. Nowadays, the member group consists of representatives coming from photo retail, manufacturers, commercial photo labs, professional sports and news photography, in addition to small album print suppliers and photo processing centers. The PMA 2012 Trade show focuses on an industry which is heavily affected by the unstable situation of the global financial economy. However, whether the latter will also stand in the way of the innovation and product introductions, remains to be revealed by the PMA International Convention & Trade Show in Anaheim Convention Center (California, US).
