Building on a strategy for growth that was evident last fall at photokina, KIS Photo-Me Group said it comes to PMA this year with an even sharper focus on demonstrating to photo retailers the tools and expertise that will help them significantly expand the creative range of digital photo products they can offer to increasingly demanding photography consumers. The company’s innovative new imaging products and exhibits on display at the PMA include a large-screen walk-up photo kiosk that lets consumers easily and immediately turn their snapshots into a variety of photo keepsakes; a versatile, high-speed, self-service “dry lab;” and numerous creative photo product samples.

KIS PhotoBookPro photo album maker

The PhotoBookPro photo album creation system, introduced last fall at the photokina trade show in Cologne, Germany, makes its U.S. debut at the Photo Marketing Association trade show here, where it is the centerpiece of the KIS Photo-Me Group exhibit booth. An open-architecture production system that works very well with the company’s “Generation 2 & 3” DKS minilabs and is powered by a variant of its My Creativ’ Album software, PhotoBookPro automatically scores, joins, folds and binds picture pages into quality photo books up to 12x8 inches in size. Our new PhotoBookPro simplifies and accelerates the on-site production of picture books, calendars, greeting cards and other photo-based keepsakes.

ViviCam 6200W underwater camera

Vivitar announces the 6-megapixel ViviCam 6200W underwater digital camera, and one of the first new products since the company's acquisition in November 2006 by Syntax-Brillian. The stylish yellow 6-megapixel ViviCam 6200W is waterproof to 10 meters, and features a 2-inch LCD display, SD card support, and a rubber-armored exterior for enhanced ruggedness and durability. In addition, Vivitar will also debut the 7-megapixel ViviCam 7388s, the 6-megapixel ViviCam, and the 10-megapixel X625 digital camera at the PMA 2007...Vivitar Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Syntax-Brillian Corporation, announced the debut of a suite of innovative digital imaging products at PMA 2007.

The digital SLR camera market is booming. Compared to last year the DSLR camera sales increased with impressive numbers and it seems the digital SLR camera has become a mass consumer product. New entry level D-SLR cameras with 6 Megapixels surprisingly were welcomed very well by the amateur photographer and it seems that within this segment of the digital camera market the resolution range of 6 - 10 Megapixel fulfils the need of the amateur photographer.
