Fujifilm FinePix A-Series

Entry-level just took on a whole new meaning, as Fujifilm USA Inc. announced the launch of the eight-MegaPixel FinePix A820 and nine-MegaPixel FinePix A900. Designed specifically for the first-time digital camera buyer and consumers seeking an affordable, easy-to-operate upgrade to their current digital camera, Fujifilm’s FinePix A820 and A900 are loaded with features usually reserved for more advanced models. Both incorporate Fujifilm’s signature Super CCD sensor technology, a 4x Optical Zoom lens and feature ISO levels of up to ISO 800. Following in the footsteps of Fujifilm’s advanced digital cameras, the FinePix A820 and A900 both shoot with light sensitivityies of up to ISO 800 at full resolution.

Fujifilm Fujichrome Velvia 50

Fujifilm USA, Inc. is introducing new Fujichrome Velvia 50 for Professionals (RVP 50), a high color saturation, high contrast transparency film at the PMA 2007 Annual Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas, NV. At the beginning of 2005 Fujifilm announced the discontinuation of previous Fujichrome Velvia for Professionals (RVP) due to difficulties in procuring some of the key raw materials used to produce the product. However, since the last stocks were sold earlier last year, the company received many requests from photographers worldwide to restart manufacturing, as they had used Velvia for many years and consider it unmatched in terms of quality and character.

Fujifilm CP-49LR Frontier cartridge

Fujifilm USA, Inc., announced the immediate release of the CP-49LR Frontier Chemical Cartridge. The CP-49LR is developed for use on medium-to-high throughput Frontier systems and specifically designed to reduce reduces the volume of packaging materials for disposal. Additionally, because of the 11% reduction of replenishment rate for Crystal Archive Type II Paper, less chemical waste handling and disposal is necessary. Each CP-49LR PC cartridge will process 125 m² (1,345.5 ft²) Fujicolor Crystal Archive Type II Paper, a significant increase compared to the current CP-49E cartridge capacity. This increase in capacity results in fewer cartridge changes.

Fujifilm Frontier 710

Fujifilm USA, announced the Frontier 710 Digital Lab System. Part of the award-winning Frontier Series of lab systems, the Fujifilm Frontier 710 is a compact digital printer processor capable of producing up to 810 4R prints per hour. The Frontier 710 can be installed in a 14 ft2 space, offers a standard printing capacity of up to 24 inches in length, and features Fujifilm’s Image Intelligence technology. Image Intelligence automatically compensates for problematic conditions such as poor lighting, backlighting and high contrast, as well as over- or under- exposure. The Frontier 710 also offers a “one-touch” replenishing chemistry system, using Fujifilm CP-49E chemistry.

Fujifilm QuickSnap 1000

Furthering its commitment to the Culture of Photography and to meeting consumer needs through innovation, Fujifilm today announced an upgrade to its popular QuickSnap 1000 One-Time-Use camera. The new QuickSnap 1000 features an enhanced shutter speed of 1/200 second which, when combined with its 1000-speed Fujicolor film with Fujifilm’s patented 4th Color Layer Technology, makes it an excellent choice for capturing fast action shots, as well as great everyday pictures. The digital SLR camera market is booming. Compared to last year the DSLR camera sales increased with impressive numbers and it seems the digital SLR camera has become a mass consumer product.
