Panasonic Lumix DMC-LS80

Panasonic is pleased to introduce a new Lumix digital camera DMC-LS80 that combines easy-to-use advanced functions and AA-battery operation convenience. Newly developed Lumix DC VARIO lens system with 3x optical zoom (equivalent to 33-100mm on a 35mm film camera) fits in its compact body and renders clear image to edges. The CCD has been upgraded to 8.1-megapixel high resolution to correspond to trimming or prints in larger size. Both external and internal design is re-examined throughout to enhance the ease of operation. The high-performance image-processing LSI has newly entered its fourth generation, to be reborn as Venus Engine IV to assure higher-quality pictures with an advanced signal processing system. Yet the profile of the camera is substantially refined to much look slimmer and compact compared to the predecessor DMC-LZ7.

The first quarter of the year is where all manufacturers introduce their digital SLR cameras and compact cameras for the upcoming season. The PMA 2008 International Convention and Trade Show is the perfect place to showcase the new digital camera series to the retailer and consumers. The digital camera is still a device that is evoluting. The digital SLR camera market is booming and reaches a larger audience due to an important price barrier break and compacter designs. PMA 2008 will showcase new digital SLR and compact camera models and will give us a view what to expect for the upcoming camera season.
