The Canon PowerShot A580 camera includes brand-new blur-reducing Motion Detection Technology, plus new technology evolutions. Canonís Face Detection Technology now features Face Detection White Balance, and Red-Eye Correction, can now remove red-eye automatically as the user shoots. Canon EOS 450D

Canon launches its latest D-SLR, the EOS 450D (Canon Digital Rebel XSi in America). Featuring a 12.2 Megapixel CMOS sensor, EOS Integrated Cleaning System, 3.0Ē LCD with Live View mode and a new 9-point AF system, the model presents consumers with an unprecedented level of image quality and versatility at this end of the market. The Canon EOS 450D employs features already proven in Canonís professional EOS-1 series cameras, including the DIGIC III image processor and a redesigned menu system that enables features such as direct control of Speedlite flash units from the camera LCD. A choice of 13 custom functions allows the photographer to customise the camera to their shooting style.

Canon EOS XSi

Canon USA, Inc.'s EOS Rebel series of digital single lens reflex cameras - the digital cameras that defined and refined what it means to be an "entry level" digital single lens reflex - have now redefined the gateway prowess and "pro-ness" of the DSLR category with the introduction of the line's new leader, the 12.2-megapixel Canon EOS Rebel XSi digital camera. Incorporating a number of high-end functions and technology found in Canon's professional Digital SLR camera models, the Canon EOS Rebel XSi digital camera boasts an improved autofocus sensor, enhanced 14-bit A/D conversion, an advanced Live View function, and the proprietary DIGIC III image processor.

The PMA show, or Photo Marketing Association, continues its yearly tradition of maintaining a network of photo imaging as well as the experience and know-how of the industry. The PMA represents 20,000 members from over 100 countries, who are all active within the imaging industry. As a reflection of the changes in the market, the PMA organization has also changed and has become more diverse. Nowadays, the member group consists of representatives coming from photo retail, manufacturers, commercial photo labs, professional sports and news photography, in addition to small album print suppliers and photo processing centers. The PMA 2012 Trade show focuses on an industry which is heavily affected by the unstable situation of the global financial economy. However, whether the latter will also stand in the way of the innovation and product introductions, remains to be revealed by the PMA International Convention & Trade Show in Anaheim Convention Center (California, US).
