After the press conference in Lisbon, Portugal, where Panasonic introduced the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX01 digital camera I was able to shoot some pictures with the FX01. This ultra-small compact digital Lumix camera features a variety of cool features. Among them is the High Sensitivity mode, where the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX01 is able to shoot at a maximum sensitivity setting of ISO 1600. Around the scenery where a castle was in the middle of it I shot some images with the high sensitivity mode activated. Combined with the optical image stabilization system (O.I.S), a nice Leica wide lens and the Venus Engine Plus LSI processor the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX01 becomes a powerful compact digital camera. The next day I shot some pictures in the old centre of Lisbon. The light conditions were ideal, sunny with a blue sky, resulting in nice contrast shots. Note that the sample images are made with a pre-production sample of the Panasonic Lumix DMC FX01 and therefore cannot be judge as final quality.
