Olympus IR-300 Preview: The new Olympus IR, presented at the Sneak Peak Evening the night before the PMA kicks-off, is a pleasant appearance in itself. The camera is part of the Easy Imaging System, introduced during the Photokina 2004 in Germany for the first time. This innovative system introduces a new way of experiencing Digital Imaging. The complete system consists of different components, and a digital camera like the Olympus IR 300 is one of them.

This digital camera is extremely compact and ultra-thin. The beautiful white finish compliments  the design. The Olympus design department has a good knowledge of what the consumer finds attractive. An example is the Olympus Mju mini digital, recently awarded with the DIWA Design Award. The new Olympus IR 300 is equipped with a 5 Megapixel CCD and a 3x optical zoom lens. The rear of the camera features a large sized monitor which will please every user. And when the camera is placed in its docking station, the two parts become one elegant creation, a beautiful piece of design! Soon Olympus will offer additional information about the Easy Imaging System on a more local level. Of course we will bring you the latest developments on this system in the near future, and we are also very curious to hear the first reactions of the users.
