Its weight of 140 grams does not make the P'9521 a lightweight but it makes him feel very solid. The high quality finishing is superb with materials like glass and aluminium used as a base. The Porsche Design cell phone is not ultra thin but thin and compact enough with its dimensions of 91x48x18.4mm to be carried around in a trouser-pocket.

The successor of the Lumix DMC-TZ1, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3, was introduced in January 2007. Did the Panasonic TZ1 impress us with its compact size and onboard 10x Leica zoom lens; the Panasonic Lumix TZ3 digital camera even exceeds its predecessor. The resolution went up to 7 Megapixels and even more important, the focal range, although staying the same with its 10x optical zoom, gained a wide angle. It means that Panasonic is one of few manufacturers to deliver a digital compact camera with an optical zoom lens that is able to offer wide angle.

Our colleagues over at LetsGoMobile have reviewed the 5 Megapixel Samsung G600 camera phone. The new Sony Alpha A700 was launched during a Sony press conference in Italy. Unfortunately, the surprise element was lost because one day earlier the Alpha introduction was disturbed by a leak caused by Sony. The Sony Alpha 700 is Sony’s second digital SLR camera that has to contribute to a continuously compiling series of SLR cameras, with which Sony manifests itself as renowned DSLR manufacturer. The Sony DSLR A700 is a digital SLR camera which is positioned in the middle segment, and with that, has to compete (heavily) with the new collection of Canon and Nikon D-SLR cameras, among others. During my stay in Italy, I had the chance to work with the Sony A700 for a short period.
