PMA Show 2010 - The HP SW450 is an ultra-thin 12 megapixel, 4x optical zoom camera. At less than ¾” thick and weighing only about 0.25 lbs, you can take the HP SW450 everywhere you go. It easily fits conveniently in your pocket or purse making it handy for any spontaneous picture moments. The new user interface features modern 3D icons and greater color contrast for improved visibility when navigating menu selections even in bright light. Additionally, when choosing scene modes, two images are shown as examples of how a picture would look like in comparison to using the auto mode. The 4x Optical Zoom lens of the HP SW450 point-and-shoot camera lets you magnify and capture sharp images when taking pictures from a distance. Optical Zoom brings the subject closer and makes additional detail visible.

With smile detection, the HP SW450 camera will search for a smile and automatically take the picture when it detects that the subject is smiling. This feature is especially helpful when trying to capture pictures of young children smiling in front of the camera. When using the blink detection feature, the camera alerts you if a subject is blinking when the picture is taken. The HP point-and-shoot camera will then prompt you to either keep or delete the picture, allowing you the opportunity to retake pictures as you deem necessary.

With over 25 scene modes, you can easily ensure the best shot is captured in different shooting situations. Pick the mode that best matches your activity or use the Intelligent scene mode to let the camera detect the conditions and select the best mode for you. The party scene mode is great for taking pictures in indoor low-light conditions. The HP SW450 point-and-shoot camera will adjust its shutter speed to capture subjects at a faster speed and enable anti red-eye flash. This way you can snap away and get perfect pictures of everyone at a party. The love portrait scene mode lets you take a good picture when there are just the two of you. Simply point the camera at the two of you and press the shutter. Face tracking will detect when your faces are in the frame, autofocus on them, and take the picture.
