PMA 2010 News - Fujifilm is proud to announce the arrival of the new FinePix S1600, a 12 megapixel digital camera with a powerful Fujinon long-zoom lens. The Fujifilm FinePix S-series bridge cameras have been popular across the world for many years, and the new Fujifilm S1600 doesn't disappoint. Built around a new x15 Fujinon lens and Fujifilm's proprietary image processing, the new Fujifilm FinePix S1600 delivers remarkably high quality results all the way from wide angle through to telephoto. The Fujifilm FinePix S1600 boast a 28mm wide-angle zoom lens, extendable to 420mm (x15). From sweeping landscapes, interiors and large group shots to distant sports or wildlife action, this Fujifilm camera is ready for every photographic challenge. With a mechanically stabilised CCD sensor and high ISO sensitivity (to ISO6400) for anti-blur protection, the combination of these technologies reduces the blurring effect of both hand-shake and subject movement to provide sharp, clean and clear results even at the longest zoom settings or in the most challenging of lighting conditions.

Providing you with the flexibility of framing your shots using the high quality electronic viewfinder or the large, bright 3.0-inch LCD screen, whichever you choose, they both offer high resolution image playback and a fast frame rate of 60 fps. Using Fujifilm's Scene Recognition Auto (SR Auto) the Fujifilm FinePix S1600 digital camera is able to intelligently select the scene type and the shooting conditions present and will adjust the camera settings accordingly, optimising results and making it easy to take good pictures.

The PMA show, or Photo Marketing Association, continues its yearly tradition of maintaining a network of photo imaging as well as the experience and know-how of the industry. The PMA represents 20,000 members from over 100 countries, who are all active within the imaging industry. As a reflection of the changes in the market, the PMA organization has also changed and has become more diverse. Nowadays, the member group consists of representatives coming from photo retail, manufacturers, commercial photo labs, professional sports and news photography, in addition to small album print suppliers and photo processing centers. The PMA 2012 Trade show focuses on an industry which is heavily affected by the unstable situation of the global financial economy. However, whether the latter will also stand in the way of the innovation and product introductions, remains to be revealed by the PMA International Convention & Trade Show in Anaheim Convention Center (California, US).
