Naturally Kodak couldn't fail to present themselves at this PMA 2007 show being a home player. The size of the Kodak booth at the Las Vegas convention centre was remarkably compact and therefore very well-organized. What used to surprise one in the old days, seems no longer the case and Kodak seem to have lost their former size as giant among the exhibitors. The digital compact cameras that had been introduced during the PMA were of course showcased on the docking stations that are nowadays looked upon as a standard. Striking is the new Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS digital camera with its inbuilt image stabilizer. Fortunately Kodak carries on with their trend of optical image stabilizers.

Kodak EasyShare Digital Cameras
It's just a matter of following into Panasonic's footsteps and equipping the entire assortment with optical image stabilization to prepare Kodak for the competition of conquering the so much desired market share. Besides showing compact cameras Kodak also demonstrated a number of printers and showcased the new digital photo frames introduced at the latest CES 2007. You think you can almost predict a failure concerning the latter because of the incredible amount of mainly Asian manufactures offering a likewise assortment. From my point of view it is actually amazing to see Kodak is still around in the current digital camera market.

Kodak European Camera Market
The European continent is strongly looking for a representative for this ancient brand and more and more it looks like Kodak is merely focussing on the American market. Hopefully Kodak can turn the tide this year, it would be a great shame to once again witness the disappearance of yet another strong innovative brand.
