Kata, a world leading manufacturer of ergonomic, protective carrying solutions, is proud to announce three additions to its Global Digital Collection - the PB-44, PB-46 and PB-48. A new family of small, lightweight cases, the PB-44, PB-46 and PB 48 offer shooters a stylish and ergonomic solution for protecting and transporting their DSLR, lenses and accessories. Each case is capable of holding a DSLR in top grip position and comes with padded internal and external pockets to accommodate additional equipment, such as media cards, cables, batteries and more. Additionally, the PB 48, the largest of the three new cases, is also able to store lenses, flashes, or other accessories.

For ease of use, the PB series features a sturdy padded grip handle, comfortable shoulder strap and back loops for a waist belt. Also, assuring that shooters will never have to run for cover if caught in the unexpected rain storm, each PB case comes included with Kata’s waterproof elements cover. From their ergonomic design to the vibrant, scratch and static resistant ‘yelloop’ internal fabric, the GDC line stands out from their less ardent crowd of competitors and has redefined the market of protective carrying solutions. Like all Kata products, the GDC line is about much more than just an attractive and aesthetically pleasing design. These products are above-all a protective solution, enhanced by Kata’s unique Thermo Shield Technology (TST). TST is a state-of-the-art design that provides ultimate protection in an extremely lightweight package. The outer shell of the TST is thermo formed in a protective “rib shape” construction, and made from a Mil-Std, double cord Super Nylon to protect expensive gear from water, dust and a host of other potentially damaging elements. Beneath that is a cross linked, closed cell PE + EVA shield that shelters sensitive equipment from shock and impact, while also insulating it from extreme temperatures and moisture.

New entry level D-SLR cameras with 6 Megapixels surprisingly were welcomed very well by the amateur photographer and it seems that within this segment of the digital camera market the resolution range of 6 - 10 Megapixel fulfils the need of the amateur photographer. Without lenses the digital SLR camera would not be complete and it is for that reason we see a huge number of digital SLR lens introductions appear this year. There are multiple camera manufacturers offering their best own brand solution for its DSLR camera, but there are even more specialized lens manufacturers who offer an impressive number of lens solutions too. Keep your eye on the digital SLR lens section of this PMA 2007 report for the latest introductions!
