Photo-Me International plc announced that the company will conduct market trials later this year of a new category of high-speed photo kiosk using Memjet inkjet technology. Memjet inkjet technology, developed by Silverbrook Research Pty Ltd., is being commercialized by Memjet Photo Retail Ltd. Market trials of the new inkjet photo kiosks are expected to get underway by the third quarter of 2007 at selected Photo-Me customer sites in France, and later at other customer sites in Europe, the Americas and Japan. Memjet technology is based on a page-wide inkjet print head that enables low-cost, high-speed photo printing at currently unattainable levels, according to Photo-Me and Memjet Photo Retail.
