If you’re headed to PMA 2007, Manfrotto invites you to swing by the Bogen Imaging booth, as it will be featuring the 804RC2, one of its new revolutionary three-way heads. Dedicated to perfection, Manfrotto challenged its team of engineers to improve the company’s already best selling head, the 3030, even more. The result; a head that incorporates new features and materials never before seen in the three way head market and that’s sure to far exceed the needs of professional photographers. In designing the 804RC2, Manfrotto’s engineers were also able to develop a new high performance polymer, known as Adapto - a special technical polymer that’s comparable to aluminum in strength but 50% lighter.

Manfrotto 804RC2 - Adapto
When compared to metals such as aluminum, Adapto is an ideal material for photo imaging equipment as it’s highly resistant to extreme temperatures and will not corrode or oxidize. Additionally, Adapto is an excellent vibration absorbing material, making the 804RC2 head an ideal companion to a Manfrotto MagFiber tripod for the ultimate in vibration free shots. Weighing a mere 1.7 lbs., the 804RC2 is approximately 20% lighter than the 3030 which it replaced. The low profile of the 804RC2 features a spirit level and a fixed counterbalance spring on the tilt motion to help support varying equipment loads of up to 8.8 lbs. The fixed counterbalance spring helps absorb the shock of the full camera weight from crashing down. The spring also makes it easier to tilt the camera to the right position. With improved ergonomics, including an updated design that features modernized, rounded edges and new handles specifically designed for comfort and ease-of-use, the 804RC2 is sure to turn the ‘heads’ of photographers looking for a full-featured, reliable head.
