Exciting new styling ensures that the new Sony DCR-HC47E DV Handycam stands out from the crowd. Good looks aside, the range sets new standards with up to 40x optical zoom performance (with 20% wider angle than previous models) and the longest shooting times of up to 14 hours STAMINA (with optional battery) yet from a single battery charge. Shooting in low light is also enhanced with a new Auto Slow Shutter mode that automatically boosts minimum illumination performance up to 4lux compared with 7 lux on previous model.

The Sony DCR-HC47E Handycam DV model is easier to use than ever before. A helpful new Usage Guide function offers a concise explanation of main functions on the camcorder’s LCD touch screen. The supplied Sony Handycam Station provides fuss-free connectivity with a television or PC plus automatic battery charging, with no need to keep re-plugging wires.

Sony DCR HC47 miniDV camcorder - Optional accessories
New-generation InfoLITHIUM H Series batteries feature Hybrid Lithium-Ion cells and ActiFORCE battery technology for higher capacity and faster recharging plus a more accurate, responsive indication of remaining capacity. Compatible with all latest Handycam models, three new batteries (NP-FH100, NP-FH70 and NP-FH50) offer capacities of 3980mAh, 1800mAh and 900mAh respectively. All can also be used with older camcorders using P Series batteries.

Two new wide angle lenses have also been introduced. The Sony VCL-HA07A and the extremely compact VCL-E07A offer wider compatibility with the Handycam range at an even more affordable price. Other additions include stylish carry cases and the Sony SPK-HCC Sports Pack that waterproofs your Handycam down to 5 metres. PMA 2009 - The digital SLR camera market is booming. Compared to last year the DSLR camera sales increased with impressive numbers and it seems the digital SLR camera has become a mass consumer product.
