Fujifilm is pleased to announce the debut of a new entry-level compact digital camera, the Fujifilm FinePix A610 digital camera in the overseas market, realizing even higher performance in our high quality ‘A‘ series range. For the first time in Fujifilm’s A-series the new Fujifilm A610 features the unique Super CCD and RP (Real Photo) Processor, for delivery of sharp images with minimal noise. The Fujifilm FinePix A610 features 6.1 Megapixels and incorporates light sensitivities up to ISO 400 at full resolution for 'natural light' photos and less blur images. The new Fujifilm FinePix A610 digital compact camera will appeal to first time buyers looking for outstanding performance at an affordable price.

Ease of use is key to the design of the Fujifilm A610, with a simple button layout that makes the cameras ideal for first time users. Framing photographs is made easy with a large 2.5-inch LCD monitor with an anti-reflective coating to prevent glare when shooting in daylight. The Fujifilm A610 camera is powered by two AA-size batteries, which are readily available around the world. In a first for Fujifilm’s compact digital camera range, the Fujifilm FinePix A610 features a xD/SD compatible slot which accepts Fujifilm’s traditional xD-Picture Cards, but also Secure Digital (SD) cards.

The PMA show, or Photo Marketing Association, continues its yearly tradition of maintaining a network of photo imaging as well as the experience and know-how of the industry. The PMA represents 20,000 members from over 100 countries, who are all active within the imaging industry. As a reflection of the changes in the market, the PMA organization has also changed and has become more diverse. Nowadays, the member group consists of representatives coming from photo retail, manufacturers, commercial photo labs, professional sports and news photography, in addition to small album print suppliers and photo processing centers.
