Pentax Corporation is pleased to announce the exhibition of its soon-to-be-released digital SLR camera products, all currently under development, at two major trade shows in the U.S.A. and Japan. PMA 2007 is America’s largest annual photographic merchandise trade show, to be held from March 8 to 10, 2007, in Las Vegas, Nevada; the Photo Imaging Expo 2007 is one of Asia’s largest annual photo and imaging merchandise trade fairs, and will be held from March 22 to 25 at Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo. The digital SLR camera products include several interchangeable lenses, a macro lens, a medium format camera and a dedicated auto flash unit.

Interchangeable lens for Pentax SLR
Three interchangeable lenses for exclusive use with Pentax digital SLR cameras. These lenses are being developed as top-of-the-line Star-series lenses, which provide superior performance and technological excellence, including the advanced SDM system that ensures smooth, quiet autofocusing operation using the supersonic motor installed in the lens body. Product information:
• smc Pentax-DA* 200mm F2.8ED [IF] SDM; A uni-focal super-telephoto lens, with an angle of view equivalent to a 306mm lens in the 35mm format. Market launch tentatively scheduled for December 2007
• smc Pentax-DA* 300mm F4ED [IF] SDM; A uni-focal super-telephoto lens, with an angle of view equivalent to a 460mm lens in the 35mm format. Market launch tentatively scheduled for December 2007
• smc Pentax-DA* 60~250mm F4ED [IF] SDM; A super-telephoto zoom lens, with an angle-of-view coverage equivalent to a 92mm-to-383mm zoom lens in the 35mm format. Market launch tentatively scheduled for December 2007

Pentax interchangeable macro lens
The smc Pentax-DA 35mm F2.8 Macro Limited is a compact, lightweight interchangeable macro lens for exclusive use with Pentax digital SLR cameras:
• First macro lens of the Limited series, offering outstanding image performance.
• An angle of view equivalent to a 53.5mm lens in the 35mm format; ideal for use in normal applications as a standard lens.
• Market launch schedule to be announced at a later date

Pentax 645 Digital medium-format digital SLR camera
• Kodak-developed extra-large CCD image sensor with 31.6 total megapixels
• Compatibility with existing smc Pentax 645 interchangeable lenses
• A pair of storage-media slots for the loading of an SD memory card and a CF card

Interchangeable standard lens for Pentax 645
The smc Pentax-D FA645 55mm F2.8 is an interchangeable standard lens for exclusive use with Pentax medium-format digital SLR camera:
• A standard lens designed for exclusive use with the Pentax 645 Digital
• Advanced optical design with all properties of lens element groups, including curvature and lens coating, optimized for digital photography
• Can be used with existing Pentax 645-series medium-format SLR film cameras
• Will be marketed simultaneously with the Pentax 645 Digital camera body
• Market launch schedule to be announced at a later date

Pentax AF200FG dedicated auto flash
• Compact clip-on-type auto flash unit with a guide number of 20 (at ISO 100/m)

The PMA show, or Photo Marketing Association, continues its yearly tradition of maintaining a network of photo imaging as well as the experience and know-how of the industry. The PMA represents 20,000 members from over 100 countries, who are all active within the imaging industry.
